Rebecca Stockley

Co-Founder BATS Improv

Rebecca Stockley is an improviser, director, teacher and consultant.  Rebecca has been performing and teaching improvisation since 1984. In 1986 she co-founded BATS Improv in San Francisco, for which she continues to be an active performer and coach.

Rebecca’s day job involves introducing the principles of improvisation to people at work.  Rebecca’s passion as an improvisation teacher is to free the imagination and inspire creativity. Her fundamental concepts of improvisation are based on an assumption that ideas are plentiful. Everyone can access creative energy; it just takes practice. The practice of improvisation can help people be more attentive, playful, flexible, collaborative, imaginative, and courageous… plus it’s really fun.
